Some people can't see past the end of their own nose.

"When ugly rednecks attack!" LOL
But in all seriousness that really is disgusting. People like that are really sad.

Plus-What is it with nasty looking men and their refusal to wear shirts in public?

If I am legally required to wear a bra in public, then he should be, too. Ick.

Regardless, what makes me really mad is that someone in a position of authority at that mining company likely whooped them into a frenzy and basically put them up to it. That makes me even more sick.

I'm with Snad, including her bra comment.

They were trying SO HARD to incite those picnickers to violence. But I'm sure the picnic people have generations of experience dealing with thugs hired by the mining companies, so they knew what to do.

I'm super impressed with the party-goers peaceful way of dealing with those braindead morons. Notice how they kept yelling "I'll kick your ass" but then walk away. They are all cowards, but together in a mob they thought they were tough.

I'm posting it to my blog now.

This is part of a broader pattern of intimidation tactics by the far right in the past few months. I also can't help but note how the coal company exploited peoples' very real economic anxieties.

Yes, the coal companies goad people into this thuggery, lying to them and promising good jobs if they support the company--"This is our livin'," the guy without a shirt said. I have a friend from that area, and her family (which has lived there for generations) is bitterly split on the issue.

"This is our livin'" and "This is OUR land"--whatever, you big thugs. Just another example of the greedy rich in this country exploiting the poor and uneducated. The mine owners would NEVER allow this big jerk to come anywhere near them, but they launch him (and his man-boobs) at these innocent families.

But then -- I guess, if I had to completely destroy those beautiful mountains just for a paycheck, I'd get roaring drunk and belligerent all the time too.

I feel sad for the drunkies - conned into the idea that peaceful, mountain-loving folks are taking away their jobs, fed beer, and let loose like so many rabid dogs.

Truth of the matter is that the greatest job killer in the coal industry is the coal industry itself, glutting on greed, feasting on mechanization, and leaving a trail of broken, ignorant, jobless bodies in their wake.
