I save all of the found stuff from thrift/rummage sale purchases. sometimes the random stuff is more interesting than the thing you intended to buy in the first place. I find receipts for books all the time in used books. I love when I find ones from the 50's-70's.
The phrase "We never use these" seems like it should be followed by the words "because they're only for dirty foreigners." I just get that vibe, maybe because mayonnaise is first and foremost on the list. Nice find.

I got that beat.
Okay, no I don't...
This is AMAZING. It gives the book a previous life... I'd try and find that person (not contact, just see if he or she is still around).
Love the nostalgia here! I can't see the date on the paid gas bill, but I can see the amount, so I know it must be old!
They never use scallions???? Now that is a shame!
Love when that happens. Like a little peek into the past. :)
