We got this CD set yesterday in a discount store and it not only rocks, it drips the Nawlins funk. Dr. John is the real deal boys and girls. This music will make you want to make you eat gumbo and po boys while you mop your feverish brow. This compilation is highly recommended.

Sadly, the song "Wrong Place, Right Time" ruined Dr. John for me. Love New Orleans funk, just can't get past that song to get to the rest of his stuff. Professor Longhair, though, woo hoo!

Saw him wayyy back in the 80's at the Diamond Club in Toronto...on the same bill, Leon Russell & Edgar Winter...yes, an incredibly awesome show...'gilded splinters' indeed!!
