Don't hate me because I am already eating stuff out of my garden, hate me for rubbing it in on you folks who have not even planted anything yet. In addition to radishes, we've also got lettuce coming up that we can start eating. Boo ya!
Such pretty little things, but you can't make me feel TOO bad since I don't like radishes. Yesterday I planted onions, beets, carrots, lettuce, spinach, and pumpkins. Wish me luck!
While I am not a huge radish fan, I have a lovely recipe for you that came from from a Parisienne woman I know.
Slice a baguette on an angle into 3/4" slices. Schmear with high quality, unsalted butter Top each slice with very thinly sliced, chilled radishes. Sprinkle with sea salt. Arrange on an attractive plate, garnished with radish greens.
Pour a glass of Pouilly Fuisse. Dump the hors d'oeuvres into the nearest trash can. Drink the wine.
Hahahahaha- seriously, the radishy things are very tasty.
We used to get box lunches at school..the were horendous...butter on meat sandwiches, warm juice, stale cookie and a radish. Yes a radish. We used to say.."Well they can't ruin a radish." It true...

I do love radishes, but alas, I am by no means a gardener. I admire those that grow their own. Luckily I have a neighbor that takes pity on me.
Those radishes seem suspiciously, immaculately clean for just having come out of your garden.
My rhubarb is poking out of the ground, but that's about the only thing we can grow around here anyway.
I've never been a fan of the radish, but my word, those look delicious. Nice photo.
I washed them before I took a photo of them XUP. So nah nah nah.
I'll have mine in about 2 weeks.
I'm jealous. OK? Happy now??!
WANT. GIMME. NOW.

I don't hate you. I'm proud of you.
Mmmmm I saw this post the other day and didn't have time to comment. Those radishes look so good and I just love radishes!
