The Democrat in Republican clothing governor of my state, Tennessee, is a fucking idiot. He's jumping on the GOP bandwagon of not wanting to accept all the stimulus money that Washington DC is offering.
I'm sure if his ass was unemployed he'd be pissed as a motherfucker if some asshole in Nashville wanted to deny him more benefits when he needed them.
Phil Bredsen is a chickenshit punk ass GOP wannabe. He doesn't give a shit about the people of this state. The only thing he cares about is covering his ass during his next election. If we had the option of recalling the governor in this state I'd be leading the drive to unseat his ass starting this very second.

Read an interesting comment somewhere this morning (and as usual I'm blanking on the source now) that the reason the southern governors are bitching about the strings attached to the unemployment money is not the fear of some onerous tax burden in the future, but the fact the requirements now would entail getting into line with most of the rest of the country in terms of applicants qualifying for unemployment payments. They want to keep the number of people who can actually qualify for unemployment compensation as low as possible. Example: domestic relocation. Right now quite a few states allow a person to collect unemployment compensation if he or she has to quit a job and move because their spouse relocates. Not true in Louisiana or Texas. But the GOP always likes to scream "higher taxes" regardless of what the actual facts are -- you'd think they'd come up with a better line eventually.
I cannot even begin to fathom the thinking of these idiots. They definitely want to be part of the problem - and not the solution. Oh, brain fart - that is how it's been all along.
