The lovely and seriously deranged Tanya Espanya took time out of her recent vacation to Cuba to buy me this postcard. She had to wait until she came back home to Canada to send it to me because there is no mail service between Cuba and the USA.
Being a baseball and vintage photograph fan I couldn't be more pleased to own this postcard. Being a subversive troublemaker I could not be more pleased that it was purchased in Cuba. I hope the profit from this postcard went to fund the national health care system of Cuba, which according to all reports is one of the best in the world.
Yay Tanya! Yay Cuba! Yay baseball! Yay postcards! Yay single payer national health care for all!

I wanted to wish you a Happy Birthday before I forgot. Looks like you've already started getting presents!
Awesome! And happy birthday!
Need to find some monkey swag....
Wow, that is Berry Berry Cool indeed! And happy birthday Dr. Von Monkerstein!
Ya gotta love Fidel!
That's a great picture
Happy Birthday Dr. M. A very cool postcard indeed.
Um, hello!? :-)
k.line-Oh make no mistake hon, I think you're cool too but you must ask yourself this, "How much swag have I sent Dr. Monkey? And much swag has Tanya sent him?" If your answers are none and a bunch then you are on the list of cool Toronto chicks but not at the top. Yet. :)
But I will go ahead an call you the most stylish chick in Toronto.
Now I understand the criterion. And Tanya is no doubt exceedingly cool. So I'll take most stylish, thank you. For now. :-)
There's an urban myth that Castro tried out for the Washington Senators. It's not true, but it makes a great story.
Somewhere around here, I do have some funny picks of Castro and Che putting around on a golf course right after the revolution.
Snort! Aren't I awesome, you guys? Always glad to oblige.
And K.Line? Hello? How cute are you?! I'm mad at you because I just quickly took a look at your blog since you're here in Tronna, and I have to bookmark your blog so I can read it later, and really, with a little boy to chase after when did you think I was going to have time to read it?! Stop being so cute and pinchy!
That is all.
Return to your regularly scheduled day.
If only we had that kind of health-care system.
Tanya: Doncha hate having to fit a new blog around the parenting?? I get around it by being negligent. :-)
That is a kick ass postcard. Teeny rocks.
