Looks like a damn fine VP choice to me. I now have six or seven people I want to be VP. You make 8, Monkey!

Second station agent's comment. Good v.p. choice for Obama.

Hmmm. I don't get why having to show an ID is such a barrier to democracy.

But I just came out as a Republican, so I'm probably a fascist and haven't realized it yet...

At least someone in govt has balls. I think we should stop using balls as a measure of courage - those with them are coming up sadly short in the bravery department.

Manager Mom-You don't get why having to show an ID at a polling place because you have an ID and you are not the type of person they are trying to disenfranchise by laws like this. They want to deprive the eldery, low income, and minority voters of their votes because they historically vote for the Democratic party in general elections and they are the groups most likely to not have ID's or to have had them revoked for whatever reason. I'll bet you dollars to doughnuts that you will never ever be asked to show an ID to vote because you are white, while black people who look likely to for say oh I don't know, Barrack Obama perhaps, would be forced to show one.

And being forced to show an ID in order to vote is just the first step down slippery slope of other voting "harmless" restrictions. Next thing you'll be asked to bring your birth certificate with you, then you'll have to bring your car registration and if you don't have a car then you don't get to vote, then you'll have to bring your W2 and if you don't make a certain amount then you don't get to vote. Ask yourself why we never had this type of law before Bush and Rove and Republicans began pushing for them, and if you are honest with yourself then you'll come up with the answer that they want to disenfranchise liberal voters.

You tell 'em, Monkey. I know many people--and not just the usually older hispanic women back home in TX but also young college students who grew up in big cities with public transportation--who didn't learn to drive so they didn't bother to get drivers' licenses or IDs.
