I guarantee you I won't look this good while it's going on, but one thing is for sure, it is going on. Finally. The "it" I speak of is the home improvement projects we decided to get done in advance of putting our place on the market. The guy who is going to do the minor repairs is busy bringing all his various tools and sundries in and then he'll be off to buy the ceiling and wall paints. So while he's here and working I'll probably be forced to move stuff to get it out of his way. And one of the things I'll be moving at some point is my computer and that means blogging and the reading or your blogs might be a little light this week and part of the next.
And after the repairs and painting come the carpet installation and the new countertop in the kitchen.
So don't think I've left you, I'll just be around a little less for the next few weeks.

I have always found that the best way to deal with chores is to avoid them.
agreed doctor zauis. Good luck with the home improvements, doc!!
Oh...you. Flattery will get you everywhere, dahlink.
I love an easily impressed monkey.
I'm just finishing up a two year renovation of my house. 've redone the entire inside, replacing everything ... walls, floors ... knocked some walls out to open up the place ... new half-glass door and sidebars in the front, and new french doors in the back room ... turned the back room into living space, instead of a huge closet! All new cabinets and appliances in the kitchen, all new bathroom (love the hot tub), which included making the room bigger ... added a second bathroom in the basement, replaced all the pipes with copper (I bought an old house), new heating and AC unit, new water heater, moved the laundry room upstairs, so got a new washer and dryer ... and finished the basement (which included waterproofing the foundation), adding a kitchen and laundry area, so that I can get a renter in to help pay for everything. It's been a trying two years, but it's finally DONE! Yeah!

Home improvement is very expensive fun. Good luck with it, Monkey! Just remember to keep hydrated and eat plenty of bananas to keep your massive manly monkey strength up.
