Billy Bragg is my pick for world citizen of the year!
I found this over at Blue Gal's blog. I could not agree more with everything that Billy sings about in this clip. When I am President, Billy Bragg will be my Poet Laureate.
Okay-- this was weird-- just as I clicked on your bloglink, "Help Save the Youth of America" came on to my itunes.
I saw him a year ago February here in Chicago. He's long been one of my favorites-- I saw him in 1986 and 1988 as well. He's still great-- political and funny as hell.
"Talking to the Taxman About Poetry" is one of the great albums ever.
Johnny-Fate? Chance? I think not. Billy is awesome, he came to the area where I live and did a benefit concert back in the 80's for the striking coal miners.

How I love Billy and saw him more than once in some seedy club or another here in nyc in the 80's.
This is really good.
