It uses zero gas, zero oil, and it emits zero noxious gasses and noxious noises. And upkeep on the little jewel is the cost of a sharpening file. I'm doing my part to not contribute to climate change, are you?

ReplyDeleteWish I could push one up our hills. But we do have a quiet little electric mower with a rechargeable battery. Made in Vermont. Very nice, and we can compost the grass clippings with the catcher.

That the same kind of lawn mower we have - except we have very little lawn left. We pulled most of it out and put in weeds (I mean wildflowers), gravel and mulch.
ReplyDeleteI'd still be using one (or a battery-powered one) if I didn't have an acre to mow! Plus, the damn Zoysia grass they planted in the lower yard would never submit to a reel mower - that stuff'll cut your feet if it's dry!

ReplyDeleteIt's actually easier to mow the small lawn we have with this mower than with a gas powered one. This one weighs less and it's easier to move about.

ReplyDeleteBelieve it or not, my mom still uses one of these for one of the small patches of grass in the backyard. My dad, though, still has all the man gear for the rest of the lawn.
