Jealous much?

We got our tickets today to see Amy Goodman next week. Nyah, nyah, nyah. Don't let your jealousy consume you. And just to save tshsmom, some 'smug' time, I don't care what you think of Amy Goodman and her show Democracy Now!

  1. I don't even know who Amy Goodman is.

    And tshsmom is American.

  2. I think you have more than one Canadian reader and I don't know who Amy Goodman is either.

  3. WC-Technically, you're an American too. But thanks for letting me know she is not Canadian. I have corrected my error.

  4. What? How am I "technically" an American?

  5. WC-The last time I looked Canada was in North America. And you live in Canada so techincially you are an American as well as being a Canadian.

  6. Disagree. North America is a continent not a country. Canada is a country in North America.

If I'm "technically" anything, I'm British.

  7. Oh, Dr. Monkey, that is quite impressive and YES I am jealous. I love Amy. Is she taking questions? I would ask her about her arrest at the RNC.

  8. WC-You can disagree all you like but I am right. I'm sure you recall that people from Spain, Italy, and France are called Europeans as well as whatever they call themselves, just like people from Japan, China, and Korea are called Asians. Like it or not Canadians, Mexicans, and people from the USA are all Americans.

  9. Heck Yeah, I'm envious. Amy Goodman is one of the women Professor Chaos most admires.

  10. You can believe whatever you want, but I will never self-identify as as an American.

  11. OMG! OMG! OMG! I'm so incredibly green with envy! You do all the coolest things, Dr. Monkey. It must be your animal magnetism that gets you into all amazing events. Have fun!

  12. WC-No need for me to believe anything. It's the truth, you are an American just as sure as the sun rises in the east and sets in the west.

  13. I will concede to being a NORTH AMERICAN, which is analogous to a Japanese person being Asian or Spaniard being European. I will not concede to being an AMERICAN.

  14. Wow...Al Gore and now Amy. My aren't you SPECIAL.....woot, woot!

  15. WC-If it's so bad being an American you should stop patronizing our stores and watching our TV shows and movies.

  16. I never said it was bad to be an American. I DISAGREE that I am an American, and as the commercial says - I AM CANADIAN.

    ENOUGH!

  17. Calm down WC, your tone made you sound like you thought being American was a bad thing.

  18. AND I WON'T CONCEDE TO BEING A 3-STRIPED SKINK!

  20. Because it's my blog and I choose who can leave comments here. She can say whatever she likes on her blog, but her comments are no longer welcome on mine.
