Decisions, decisions

I found out that all the pictures I post to all my blogs under the email address I use for this blog, Monkey Scan, and Monkey Foto were eating up my finite photo allowance that Blogger gives me and everybody else. I've eaten up, in less than two years, over 63 percent of my alloted photo storage space. Yikes! I'm not sure what happens when I use up 100 percent of my allotment so I had to make some hasty decisions:
  • This blog is my main one so I'll continue to use photos here when warranted, thought I'll be sure to make sure that the ones I use are not huge sized ones.
  • I will not longer post to Monkey Scan or Monkey Foto, but I'll leave them up for posterity's sake.
  • I started a new blog that is not linked to this email address. It's called Yellow Volkswagen Theory and you can see it here. I'll be using it to post vintage scans and digital photos.
  • And of course I'll be posting vintage scans and photos on Picassa and Flickr. I just won't be paying for it unless some kind soul wants to buy me a Pro Account on Flickr, hint hint.

No, I won't stop blogging no matter how much you ask me to. I'm having too much fun and I've made too many good friends across the country, the continent, and the world doing this, so there's no way I'll stop now bitches. You're stuck with me, hahahahahaha.

  1. Huh, I guess I didn't read the fine print, cause I didn't even know there WAS a limit. Have to check into that. And check into your new blog, Yellow Volkswagen Theory.

  2. How do we find out how much "space" we have used. I love posting pics too much - now you have me shaking in my boots.

  4. Fortunately, when I started blogging in 2001 I was too green to know how to post pics. I stayed that way for about 5 years.
Now I have used only 16% of my allotted space.
And we'll follow you wherever you go. We gotcher Monkey back.

  5. That's a reminder that I need to go and check my storage. So far I divide mine up between blogger and a photobucket account. I probably need to get more hep on this digital technology and come up with a single good system.

I really like that Yellow VW site, btw.

  6. When you log in to Google, at the top of the page on the left are options: "Gmail", "Calendar", "Documents", "Photos", "Reader" "Web", "more"

Click on "Photos" and go to the bottom of the page. Your storage info should be there, in green.

And now you know. And knowing is half the battle!

  7. This bitch would be blueJewin it hard if you broke up with us and stopped blogging. I don't know that my system could handle the shock.

Blogger is a bunch a bitches, I can't believe you've used up all of your space. Gaaaahd. What about a wordpress blog? A monkey companion, if you will.
