Better late than never

These pictures of last week's minor snowfall are for you Phydeaux. It didn't last very long,
but as is so often the case with this area and snowfalls,

it was beautiful while it lasted.

We're looking at the business end of single digit temps for the lows for the next couple of nights. I realize that those kind of temps are bikini weather for most of you in the upper Midwest and parts of Canada so no need to leave me any comments telling me how single digit temps are nothing for you folks.

  1. I wish I had that little amount of snow. Trees and other stuff are still recognizable. My house looks like a multi-room igloo, I can't see getting out of my driveway, and walking outside for 30 seconds to get the paper important body parts could freeze and fall off.

  2. See now that's what winter should be! I don't think I'd have any "hot flashes" there!

    I'm jealous

  3. Not much snow here in NYC (but some expected tonight), but it's getting cold. And Friday...supposed to be colder than a witch's nipple. I'm going to go to my former director's office just to confirm.

  4. Make that a witch's teat. I was thinking that I'm afraid that my nipples will freeze and fall off. I blame the cote du Rhone.

  5. Dude...it's not that cold.

I'm sorry you didn't rush down to the grocery stores for bread, milk, and eggs like everyone does when the local news mentions the "s-word".

Quit looking at me like I'm a roasted chicken or something.

  6. It's actually pretty warm around here right now due to the Chinook, but we have about a million feet of snow, and they don't plow the roads.

  7. Beautiful pictures! I have nothing but barren farmland on 3 sides and a highway on the other LOL...btw it's colder than a well digger's ass here too!

  8. Thank you!!

I'm currently staying in the Research Triangle area (Raleigh-Durham) and so am far from my beloved Blue Ridge mountains... and any chance of snow. So I really do appreciate those pictures.

  9. We've been getting dumped on over the few days. At least it's better than the ice we were getting last couple of weeks. And we're not going over freezing for the next week or so... ugh.
