Of course, that means that Labour was unwilling to negotiate a real deal with the lib dems in return for future political profit. Christ, they are a lot like the democrats here, no? Except craftier. And they wonder why we hate politicians.gmbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12838413091600247047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1914855334135989478.post-7079069545119734682010-05-13T20:39:51.901-04:002010-05-13T20:39:51.901-04:00I'm glad someone's got a finger on the pul...I'm glad someone's got a finger on the pulse of somewhere else than stupid here.Ricky Shambleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09507937845795960725noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1914855334135989478.post-70182422718149254672010-05-13T12:01:11.972-04:002010-05-13T12:01:11.972-04:00Did you watch John Stewart? The main problem is with the electoral process, which is the same as ours where a party can win the popular vote and still not get enough "seats" to win the government. We in Canada toyed briefly with a coalition government after the last election, too. It seems a lot more democratic than giving power to the party who may have only had a handful more votes -- or even less of the popular votes. Liberals and Conservatives in our governments are a lot closer in ideology than your Republicans and Democrats. In foreign policy and international matters they'r neck in neck. They will have some squabbles over domestic matters, but that's still better than having some tool like Stephen Harper running roughshod over social programs et al when the majority of people didn't even vote for him.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
